Teaching English in Spain

I first 'met' Grace during 2009 on a business social network. At the time she had just completed her TEFL course and was about to move to Seville, Spain, to teach English.

From scratch Grace set about building a client base teaching English to Spanish students and quickly built up enough students to make a living.



However it is only in the last few days that I've had the pleasure of reading the blogs she wrote as she travelled, often alone or with people met along the way "short, intense relationships". Twice she walked parts of Spain, the first in 2003 'Camino Frances' a 750k walk and the second in June 2008, Sevilla, walking north 1000km to Santiago de Compostel.

Seven months after the second 'walk', Grace made the decision to pack up and move to Seville full time with teaching English seeming to be the most viable option as an income.

The journey from corporate, 'no time for anything or anyone' Melbourne to 'easy does it' Seville is quite inspiring; funny and moving at the same time it also makes you begin to search yourself.
